House and Tutor Programme

At The Levels School, we strive to level the academic and social arenas for our students. We will expose our students to a range of positive relationships and support structures within the school, as we understand that our pupils will need strong, varied and consistent provision.

On arrival at The Levels School, each of the students are placed in one of the house groups: Curlew, Lapwing, Skylark or Merlin These are named after endangered birds of the Somerset Levels. Students will stay in that house for the duration of their time with us to foster a sense of identity and belonging. The house structure will provide an additional layer of pastoral support and emotional monitoring for each individual.

Students are placed in tutor groups when they join the school. Each tutor group has students from a mixture of houses within them. The tutor is the first level of support for students and parents.
