Victoria Billany, SENCO
Victoria Billany originally trained as a primary school teacher in Birmingham. Moving back to Somerset to start a family, she found employment in a specialist school and has stayed within this sector for 20 years, specialising in teaching Maths and Science at KS2/3.
Victoria’s Postgraduate Diploma in SpLD Specific Learning Difficulties has not only informed her understanding of the needs of the students, but helped her to develop her teaching style to make it as multi-sensory as possible.
A firm believer that ‘happy children learn’, Victoria prides herself on creating a safe and fun learning environment in which children are comfortable with challenge. Recent years have seen her helping children to overcome the anxiety that is often associated with learning Maths.
A form tutor for many years, Victoria is committed to providing pastoral care that puts the child’s well-being at the heart of education.
Victoria is a keen gardener, likes walking the levels and reading, especially crime fiction.
